SKX REFURBISHING SERVICES

I am pleased to announce that I will now be offering refurbishing services for SKX Diver models such as:

SKX007 SKX009 SKX011 SKX171 SKX173 SKX175 SKX399

and possibly some other various other SKX models and maybe even some SRP “Turtle” models. Basically all the large size divers. Unfortunately, I cannot offer these services for the smaller SKX013 and SKX031 divers as the parts just aren't readily available.

What does the refurbishing process consist of?

-Complete tear down of the watch.

-Ultrasonic cleaning of the case and all other case parts.

-An assessment of the movement's health to determine if servicing or replacement is needed.

-Option to upgrade the movement to the NH36 with hacking and hand-winding capability.

-Assessment of the sealing surfaces.

-New gaskets.

-New crystal if needed.

-New clickspring if needed.

-Pressure test if requested.

-And possibly any other parts that may need replacement.

The cost of this service is determined by many factors including what specific parts need to be replaced.

As an example the maximum cost this refurbishing service could run based on having the movement upgraded to the NH36, new aftermarket triple gasket crown (required for NH36 upgrade), new sapphire flat OEM style crystal, new gaskets (bezel, caseback, crystal), new clickspring, labor to do the work (disassembly, cleaning, assessment, reassembly), regulation of movement, wet pressure testing and return shipping (within the United States) is $400 USD.

This service is essentially being offered to those who love their now discontinued SKX diver and wish to breathe new life into it. This service does not involve any case polishing or dial or hand restoration. The purpose of this service is to maintain the worn aesthetic of the watch but give it a tune-up to keep it as an original and perfectly functioning diver.
